ASOS shoppers left fuming as retailer introduces price hike in £15 rule

ASOS shoppers have been left fuming over a new change to the retailer's delivery fee as some are vowing to cancel their accounts.

The online fast fashion brand sent an email to ASOS Premier customers yesterday alerting them that they will soon need to spend a minimum of £15 to qualify for free next day delivery - an increase of £5.

An ASOS Premier subscription used to give shoppers free next day delivery all year round, although a £10 minimum spend was introduced last May. And now, starting from February 28, the minimum will rise to £15 - much to many shoppers' dismay.

The price hike has not went down well many of ASOS' loyal customers, as many of those who are signed up to Premier account have threatened to cancel over the move, as reported by The Manchester Evening News.

@DaisyEvans20 wrote: "ASOS premier is now the biggest rip off! Already paid £10 for next day delivery but now have to spend £15 to qualify makes no sense! Definitely cancelling now."

A second Premier customer also said: "There won’t be any benefits to having it now, I doubt I'll renew mine."

A third shared a screenshot of the email they received and said: "Thanks for ruining my day Asos x."

Another wrote: "I’m not renewing my asos premier once it expires this year, so many stipulations for something I pay for?!”

A fifth fumed: "Wow #ASOS what a scam. How are you increasing the minimum spend to £15 for NDD at the worst time possible! Isn't the point of paying for "Premier" so we can actually have "unlimited NDD"?? Been a customer for years but I won't be renewing my premier subscription."
