ASOS customers have received an email this week warning them of new regulations.
The fashion retailer has sent a series of messages to registered ASOS customers informing them of a change to their privacy notice. In a statement, ASOS said: "We’re updating our privacy notice.
"To make sure we’re as transparent and open as possible about the use of your data, we’ve made some changes.

"We want to make it clear to you what info we need, why we need it and what we do with it, so we’ll be updating our privacy notice on August 2022 to reflect these changes. You can read the updated privacy notice in the link below and, once it’s in effect, you’ll be able to access it from the Privacy & Cookies link at the bottom of our site pages.
"You don’t need to do anything, we just wanted to give you a heads up."
The changes ASOS have made include adding the details of the information they collect if you agree to ASOS using your social media posts on ASOS or on their social media feed. This only happens if you tag ASOS or post it to their pages and if you agree when approached.
ASOS has also removed the section on collecting information to prove your identity and clarified the information that they may share with third parties and with the brands whose products are sold on their site.
