Last year, Christy Dignam opened up about how difficult Covid-19 lockdowns were for musicals.
He told the Irish Mirror that the pandemic has left him broke
Christy said: “I haven’t worked in 14 months, I did everything the Government asked me to do. I cocooned, stopped gigging, did everything right.
"When I went to pay my mortgage last month I had €300 left in the account.
“I haven’t got next month’s mortgage, I swear to God I’m not winding you up, I’m telling the God’s honest truth.
“We were pinning everything on this grant, now we’re f***ed.
