Indian shot-putter Kiran Baliyan has been provisionally suspended by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) after testing positive for a banned substance. Baliyan, who won a bronze medal at the Asian Games, tested positive for metandienone, an anabolic steroid.
Baliyan is facing a potential four-year ban if found guilty. She had recently won gold at the 2023 National Inter-State Championships and silver at the 2024 Federation Cup, reported PTI.
