Asian Games Day 5

The two-time Olympic medalist, P. V. Sindhu, led the charge with an exceptional performance in the first singles match, defeating Myagmartseren Ganbaatar with a remarkable score of 21-3, 21-3.

In the second singles match, Ashmita Chaliha demonstrated her dominance with a clinical performance, securing a 21-2, 21-3 victory over Kherlen Darkhanbaatar. The third singles match was no different, with Anupama Upadhyaya securing another commanding win of 21-0, 21-2 against Khulangoo Baatar.

With this convincing win, India have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Asian Games badminton team championships. However, their next challenge promises to be formidable, as they will face the strong Thai team in the quarterfinals.

The Thai team boasts the talents of former world champion Ratchanok Intanon, as well as world No. 12 Pornpawee Chochuwong and world No. 17 Supanida Katethong. Their formidable lineup poses a tough task for the Indian team as they aim to progress further in the competition.

The Indian women's badminton team will undoubtedly be looking to carry their impressive form into the quarterfinal match against Thailand and continue their pursuit of success at the Asian Games.
