NEW DELHI: In a closely contested match at the Asian Games, Indian shooters Divyansh Panwar and Ramita Jindal narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in the 10m mixed air rifle event. The South Korean pair of Park Hajun and Lee Eunseo emerged victorious in a thrilling contest, winning the bronze with a final score of 20-18.
Expectations were high for the Indian duo of 20-year-old Divyansh and teenager Ramita, but their journey to the finals didn't start as expected, as they qualified in sixth place after the initial qualification round. Unlike the individual 10m air rifle event, where eight shooters advance to the finals, the mixed team competition features six pairs vying for the medal round.
