NEW DELHI: The absence of the injured HS Prannoy proved to be a major setback as the Indian men's badminton team valiantly fought but eventually lost 2-3 to powerhouse China at the Asian Games in Hangzhou on Sunday.
Following the unfortunate withdrawal of world No.7 Prannoy due to a back injury, Lakshya Sen displayed exceptional determination in the singles match while the doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty dominated their opponents as India got a 2-0 lead.
So, it was once again left to Srikanth to carry the team on his shoulders.
