India will look to defend its twin cricket gold medals at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, with the schedules for both the men’s and women’s competitions now officially announced.
The cricket action will be held at Korogi Athletic Park in Aichi Prefecture. The women’s tournament is scheduled from September 17 to 22, followed by the men’s competition from September 24 to October 3.

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led women’s team will begin its title defence on September 18, taking on hosts Japan at 10:30 am IST in a straight knockout quarterfinal. The winners will advance to the semifinals.
The Shreyas Iyer-led men’s team, meanwhile, will enter the competition at the quarterfinal stage on September 28. India will face the second-placed team from Group A, which consists of Afghanistan, Japan and Nepal.
