Four men arrested over murder of Ashley Dale
Four new arrests have been made in connection with the shooting of Ashley Dale in her own home.

Miss Dale, 28, died after a gunman forced open the front door of her house in Leinster Road, Old Swan, in the early hours of Sunday, August 21, and fired multiple shots "indiscriminately". Merseyside Police were called by concerned neighbours who heard shots and saw a woman lying on the ground in the back yard of the property.
Miss Dale, considered a "rising star" in her job as an Environmental Health officer at Knowsley Council, was pronounced dead a short time later. Her death came five days after the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Sam Rimmer in Dingle, and less than 24 hours before the murder of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel in Dovecot.
Street racer was speeding at 93mph when he killed 14-year-old girl
A street racer was speeding at up to 93mph in a 30mph zone when he struck and killed a 14-year-old girl.
Courtney Ellis' teenage sister witnessed her sibling's horrific death, while the youngster's mum unknowingly encountered the scene of the crash as she drove home from work. Driver Brandon Turton today cried as he was jailed for causing the fatal collision, having been racing at high speeds around residential streets in convoy with another car at the time.
Liverpool Crown Court heard today, Wednesday, that the schoolgirl, from Haydock, died instantly after being hit by the 21-year-old's Renault Megane on Blackbrook Road in St Helens shortly after 9.45pm on September 19, 2020. Ben Jones, prosecuting, described how he had been "showing off or driving in anger", having made unsuccessful attempts to woo a female passenger.
Man arrested after police forced to shut down bridge
A man has been arrested after police were forced to shut the Silver Jubilee Bridge (SJB) between Runcorn and Widnes.
Emergency services were called to the area shortly after 1.15pm on Wednesday and shut the crossing to road and pedestrian traffic. A Cheshire Police spokeswoman officers attended the scene following "concerns for the safety of a man".
In addition to Cheshire Police vehicles and officers in attendance, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service also deployed an appliance to West Bank in Widnes as part of the response. Two ambulances and two rapid response cars from North West Ambulance Service were on standby in West Bank.
