Cole has posted a message on his Instagram account as he gears up for his first game in the Goodison Park home dugout this weekend.
"Delighted to have started my new role for Everton," Cole said on his social media account.
"Having played against them a number of times I know just how big a club this is and I can't wait to take in that atmosphere at Goodison again. This time from the home dugout, though.
"A massive thank you to both Chelsea for giving me the platform to start this journey and everyone connected with Everton for the opportunity, especially the fans who have given me such a warm welcome.
"Looking forward to starting work with a talented group of players and staff."
