Ashlee Simpson was left in panic mode after she lost her wedding ring while partying in Florida.
The singer, 37, was enjoying a dance with fellow celebs such as Nicole Scherzinger at an after-party for the Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream racetrack when her expensive ring came flying off.
The star's hubby Evan Ross was seen frantically searching for almost an hour for the piece of jewellery which is estimated to be worth around $500,000 (£372,000).
A source at the event told Page Six : "They were [dancing] in the VIP area in front of the stage with Nicole Scherzinger and DJ D-Nice… when Ashlee started yelling 'My ring! It just flung off!'.
"She was very upset and nearly in tears. Her group of friends started searching around the area with Evan’s iPhone flashlight."
It's claimed that they began lifting up chairs and sofas in search of the missing platinum and gold ring.
It's said that the piece which was designed by Neil Lane has a unique vintage look and features 140 white diamonds accented with rubies.
The source continued: "After almost an hour of searching, Evan looked in the bushes and found the ring in the dirt.
"After he picked it up, he spun around and got down on one knee in front of Ashlee as if proposing."
The duo were originally enjoying music from the Pass the Mic set, featuring Ja Rule, Lil' Kim, El DeBarge and Jadakiss.
Evan is Ashlee's second husband, after previously being wed to Pete Wentz between 2008 and 2011. Pete and the singer share 13-year-old son Bronx together.
Evan and Ashlee tied the knot in 2014 and the pair have two kids together; Jagger, six, and Ziggy Blu, one.
She introduced baby Ziggy to the world via a sweet Instagram post. The proud mum-of-three wrote at the time: "Future Voters" next to the gorgeous photo of son Bronx cradling the youngster while Jagger flashed a huge smile.
It attracted the attention of her fans who were filled with joy over the beautiful sibling snap.
Among the sea of fans, one gushed: "Oh my god!!! The cutest!!!!"
Another added: "Love the happy faces. Good job mom and dad!!"
Ashlee, who is the younger sister of singer Jessica Simpson, has regularly kept her fans up to date on her family life on the social channel since.
Jessica, 41, recently showed off her amazing seven stone weight loss as she ditched the booze and gave her diet and lifestyle an overhaul.
The American singer - who marked four years of sobriety in November - took to Instagram in December to flaunt her trim figure as she declared she was "frazzled" after shopping for bargains on Cyber Monday.
