Measles has reached another Ohio county. The Ashland County Health Department confirmed the county's first case on Friday, Sept. 25, and is working to identify and notify people who may have been exposed.
The new case comes as Ohio's 2026 total reached 180 confirmed cases as of Sept. 15, according to Ohio Department of Health figures reported by Cleveland19. That is four times the state's full 2025 total of 45. The 180 count predates the Ashland case, and a newer statewide figure had not been published as of Sept. 28.
