An Asda employee has been nominated for an award after she selflessly helped a 90-year-old man who was feeling unwell. Tracy, who works at the Abbey Park store in Coventry, rushed to help the elderly gentleman who felt faint while out shopping with his daughter.
Superstar Tracy sprang into action by getting a chair for the gentleman, and when he was safely seated she went to get a wheelchair. After helping the man to his car, Tracy went back inside the store and finished off his shopping, paying for it herself before packing it, reports Coventry Live.
The man's daughter was so impressed by Tracy's actions that she wrote to the store and said: "I managed to convince Tracy to take the money for the shopping which she reluctantly agreed to. She then accompanied us back to our car in the pouring rain to assist.
"I cannot commend her actions enough as she typifies the sort of help and support you need when something untoward happens."
Tracy has now been nominated for an Asda customer service award, with store manager Marc saying: "It was just brilliant of Tracy; she always goes the extra mile for customers who are in need. She is a down-to-earth colleague and nothing is too much trouble for her."
