Asda warns customers not to eat White Lasagne Sauce and return it to stores for a refund over illness fears

Supermarket Asda has recalled a lasagne sauce due to fears that it could make people ill. The retailer said that there had been a production fault in relation to its own brand White Lasagne Sauce.

It said there was "potential for microbiological growth which could cause illness if this product is consumed". The warning relates to products with a best before date of 03/02/2024 and barcode number 505407064998, reports BirminghamLive.

Only jars purchased at certain Asda stores are affected - there is a full list of below. If you have purchased the product from another UK Asda store it should be safe to eat. Asda said: "Stock with this best before date purchased from other Asda stores is not affected."
