Scanning your bottle or crate of booze means you then have to wait for a member of staff to verify your age to make sure you are legally allowed to buy alcohol.
But supermarket chain Asda is to trial an automated age verification solution at self-checkouts which aims to make it easier and quicker for customers using this facility.
