It might be the beginning of the summer school holidays for most teachers but that doesn't mean they are not entitled to supermarket and shop discounts.
ASDA, Sainsbury's, Amazon and TK Maxx will all give you a huge discount on shopping if you work in the education sector. Some people are saving around £100 a month on their shopping thanks to the scheme, the Manchester Evening News reports.
The Discounts For Teachers scheme is different to the Blue Light Card, which is a discount card for emergency service workers. The education discount is for anyone who works within the sector, including teaching assistants, school administrators and even volunteers and retired education workers can use it.
