In the wake of a string of recent food recalls issued by the Food Standards Agency, people who shop at several high street supermarkets have been told to avoid eating certain types of chocolate. Nottinghamshire people are being urged to check their cupboards.
The warning has been issued after investigations found that some products, which were intended for the European market only and have already been recalled by Ferrero in Europe, were imported into the UK by importers not linked to Ferrero. The news was reported by Manchester Evening News.
This update does not replace the earlier recall update. The previous updates saw Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury's recall several items. Point of sale notices will be displayed in retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.
