Homeowners say they have been driven out of their gardens due to the noise from the ventilation system at a nearby supermarket - that is yet to receive planning permission.
Asda has submitted a retrospective application for permission to keep its air handling unit at its store on Main Street in Tweedmouth.
The chain has previously been turned down for permission over a lack of information around the noise issue, with Northumberland County Council's decision upheld by the planning inspectorate following an appeal.
