Asda stores in South West England are the subject of a product recall amid fears that a popular food item has become contaminated.
The UK's Food Standards Agency says that Birds Eye recalled a product yesterday (20 December). It is feared some of its burgers may contain small pieces of red plastic, making them unsafe to eat.
The affected batch of Birds Eye Original 4 Beef Quarter Pounders with Onion was sold at Asda stores in South Wales and South West England. The company will ensure that point of Sale of will be displayed in all stores that sold the batch.
