Asda shoppers vow they 'won't order takeaway pizza' after learning 40p trick

We're a nation of pizza lovers, whether you're a thin crust fan or prefer a deep dish. But a takeaway pizza can really hit you in the pocket, with a cheesy treat at one of the largest chains setting you back almost £20.

In fact, a small Domino's pizza ranging from £14.99-17.99 and a medium Papa John's pizza starting from £16.99. Well, ASDA fans have now vowed never to return to their favourite takeaways after learning a 40p trick, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Fans have been blown away after realising customers can get their custom made pizza cooked at their local ASDA pizza counter to take away in just under two minutes. And it costs just 40p.

ASDA pizzas themselves cost a fraction of the amount a takeaway would from one of the UK's biggest chains. Prices range from as little as £3.50.

The supermarket chain shared the “ultimate hack” on its TikTok channel in a video that has gained over 1.1 million views. ASDA has called on shoppers to try out their fresh pizzas with a wide range of toppings, which customers have hailed as better than Domino’s.

Viewers reacting to the video that has garnered over 40k likes, have said that pizzas from ASDA are “an underappreciated gem.” One viewer said it was “the best news I've heard all year “ while another commented, “ASDA pizzas are genuinely really good and affordable, finally [you] can have it cooked in-store.”

Another commenter said: “ASDA, get some mopeds/delivery drivers and do home delivery and you would blow Domino's out the water! One of the best pizzas out there!”
