Supermarket giant ASDA has said its shoppers are now £175.80 per month worse off compared to June 2021. The retailer has published findings from its Income Tracker which evaluates incomes against rising living costs.
It said it's now coming up with some 'game-changing' initiatives to help as many people as possible as millions of people in the UK are struggling to pay for their shopping as prices rise at a staggering rate.
Some shoppers have had to ask staff to stop scanning when they reach a certain limit - which is sometimes as little as £10, M.E.N reports.
