A savvy Asda shopper has left other customers stunned with their simple trick to make it easier when paying at self-service checkouts.
Self-service tills are a pain and a blessing all rolled into one - they make shopping quicker, but paying for things and unexpected items in the bagging area can be annoying.
However, the Mirror reports that this issue can be a thing of the past for those shopping at Asda, as one customer has found a quick hack to help people pay much easier.

TikTok user @bethanyjade_st shared a video of her paying at an Asda self-service till with coins. Instead of pushing all the coins through the slot - like many do - the shopper lifts the black surrounding to reveal a larger funnel that you can dispense your coins into.
Sharing the hack, she said: "I was today years old when I found out this life hack. Just lift the flap and let it count your money! I love this hack and need to share it."
It is important to note that it is unclear if this hack is exclusive to Asda, or works at all supermarkets. But, this TikTok only shows the Asda self-service tills.
Shocked shoppers headed to the comments of the video to share their thanks for the clever tip that wasn't on many people's radar's.
One shopper wrote: "Oh my goodness - I never knew. Your level of quality work is excellent."
However, not everyone was a fan of the hack. Some were divided over whether it not this could cause issues by jamming the machine.
One person said: "This can literally break the machine. Don't do it."
Another replied: "Recently found this out, and apparently it's how the people that work there fill it up with coins too."
And an alleged worker at a different supermarket said: "It's really not trust me, I did Sainsbury's for nearly 6 years. Doing this jams them."
Another helpful shopper mentioned that tipping in one or two cents less than the value of your shopping and then pressing "cancel payment" will give shoppers it back in silver coins or notes.
