Asda shoppers have been left divided over a 'dupe' of a popular jumper that some say it can help 'save money on energy'.
The Oodie became popular in 2020 with many people switching their suits to loungewear as working from home and lockdown hit the nation. And with that naturally came other companies giving it a go to make a blanket-like jumper.
The Oodie is essentially a blanket you can wear with sleeves and a large pocket but while the original one comes in at around £49, Asda shoppers have spotted one similar for just £16.

The style of jumper is so popular as its warn and easy to move about in with the sleeves and some owners say it means they don't have to put the heating on.
On Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert website, one fan says she hasn't needed her heating since buying such clothing.
"Invested in an oversized hoodie blanket to snuggle up in, not used heating since," she said.
However customers have been divided to Oodie loyals and Asda fans in the comment section after one shopper shared her budget find.
Writing in Facebook group Extreme Coupons and Bargaining UK along with sharing a photo of the jumper, one Asda said: "Asda are selling these for £16.00. I just ordered one, as I just cannot afford the cost of an Oodie. Plus, I don’t like the look of them."
While many thanked her for sharing, others added their favourite versions of the viral jumper, with some staying loyal to the original Oodie.
One commented: "Oodies are amazing. Well worth the money. I found the cheaper ones bobble and not very warm."
"I wouldn't be without my oodie now the heating was hardly on last year there so worth the money!" A second agreed.
Another said: "I have an Oodie and it’s far too heavy for me!! I bought a cheaper version similar to this and love it."
But one argued: "I have a genuine Oodie whilst yes it’s really warm and I love the pattern, it’s very heavy. I much prefer the primark ones I have which have washed just as good."
A second said: "I have tried a real Oodie (borrowed from a friend) and I have primark ones and other “cheap” ones and the primark one was the best alternative and was every bit as cosy."
"Oodies are overpriced and can’t cope with the heat it gives. Maybe if we had snow often. But not my thing … this Asda hoodie looks nice," another added.
And another said: "You can’t compare the cheaper versions as the length/weight and quality are completely miles apart. However not everyone has the Oodie budget like a lot of things we find a cheaper alternative"
