Asda has pulled a range of children's hoodies with drawstrings over fears of a "potential risk of entrapment."
The retail giant removed the children's jackets from its George clothing range at UK stores.
Parents who have purchased the coats, available in mint green and pink, are advised to return them to Asda for a refund.
It follows a similar recall by the M&M Direct outlet last month involving a popular range of Ripstop puffer jackets.
It was feared the Ripstop brand quilted coats, from clothing company Bench, had elastic adjusters and toggles on the jacket hood that could tighten dangerously around a child's throat and strangle them.
Trading standards said a recall happens when a product is defective or potentially unsafe.
In today's Asda alert, the company said it is pulling from sale two children's Soda hoodies, available in mint and pink.
The firm said: "If you have purchased 304 Soda hoodie Jnr Mint or 304 World hoodie Jnr Pink with any of the barcodes listed, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund.
"This product has been recalled due to a potential issue with the drawcords, which may cause a risk of entrapment.
"You do not need your receipt. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
"If you would like any further information, please contact Asda Customer Relations – 0800 952 0101."
In last month's Ripstop puffer jackets alert, Trading Standards said: "Coats from the brand Ripstop have been recalled as they present a risk of entrapment due to an elastic adjuster and toggle on the hood, which are not permitted on garments for children.
"They may also result in injury as the elasticated straps may snap back, causing injury to the face or neck."
