Asda makes 'dark' change to Heinz mayonnaise products

Asda is making a 'dark' change to Heinz products being sold in its stores.

For the first time ever, Heinz is unveiling a black garlic mayonnaise - but it is only available to buy in Asda. Arriving in three limited-edition collectible designs, the new flavour will be available to buy at selected Asda stores.

Representing a skeleton, pumpkin and vampire with labels that are coloured white, orange and purple, the specially made condiment will only be available for a limited time. The Heinz [Scarily] Good Black Garlic Mayo can only be bought during Halloween season.

Katharina Kern, brand manager at Heinz, said: “We’re feeling extra spooky here at Heinz with the launch of our devilishly delicious [Scarily] Good Black Garlic Mayo and we can’t wait for our Heinz fans to experience a spooktacular new creation this Halloween. Our fang-tastic new Black Garlic Mayo is so good, even vampires can’t resist it!”.

The store added: "Combining Heinz’s vegan mayonnaise with the rich, tangy and slightly sweet flavour of black garlic that’s guaranteed to terrify (and tingle) your tastebuds, Heinz [Scarily] Good Black Garlic Mayo is the perfect spooky sauce for all your foodie treats, and tricks, this Halloween."

The new flavour has no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives and is also suitable for vegetarians and vegans. It is available for £2 at selected Asda stores.
