Coffee lovers are in for a treat as Asda launches its own version of a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
The supermarket will be offering customers its own brand of the iconic seasonal hot drink, which is said to be "less than a quarter of the cost" of coffee shop versions. Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte costs upwards of £3.65, depending on which size you get, while Asda’s will work out at 36p per cup.
Asda shoppers will be able to recreate their favourite coffee at home. Available in stores and online from October 13, people can buy a 126g tub of the flavoured instant coffee powder for just £2.50.

This will make around seven drinks for less than the price of one from the leading coffee chains in the UK. In fact, shoppers could make 10 Asda Pumpkin Spice Lattes for the price of one small from Starbucks, reports the Manchester Evening News.
If coffee lovers were to buy one PSL per week as a Friday treat between now and Christmas, that would cost £47.45. It would cost Asda shoppers less than £5 to make 13 lattes, saving around £42 that can go towards Christmas shopping and essentials instead.
An Asda spokesperson said: "The Pumpkin Spice latte is an official marker of autumn and its seasonal flavours eagerly anticipated by many in the run up to the change of season. After seeing an increase in popularity for the Pumpkin spiced latte, we wanted to bring this to our customers at an affordable price. And, whilst customers can make huge saving on costs – Asda’s innovation team assures us there is no compromise on taste."
To make the Pumpkin Spice Latte at home, shoppers can add hot water and stir well, adding a sprinkle of cinnamon for that added autumn experience.
