Supermarket chain Asda has been praised for their "incredible" new initiative to help those struggling pay for food. With soaring bills, fuel and food prices and millions of households across the country feeling the pinch, the retailer said it was committed to supporting customers navigate the cost of living crisis.
A survey by the Office for National Statistics revealed that many were left with no choice but to back on food to pay for energy bills. In a bid to help worried shoppers, Asda, which is based in Leeds, has now launched a new one-stop website to offer financial advice and money-saving hacks.
Users will be able to benefit from a range of content including recipes and ideas for day trips on a budget. The Essential Living Hub was launched after research from the supermarket revealed the tough choices parents are facing as they prepare for school holidays, the Manchester Evening News reports.
