Asda, Ikea, Morrisons, Brewers Fayre and Premier Inn are among the places where children can eat for free over Easter 2023. Easter is nearly here and while parents may love the break from getting kids to and from school it can bring a lot of financial pressure on families. It's not cheap entertaining, or even coping with, hungry kids looking for a holiday treat.
That pressure has increased even more for almost everyone this year as the ongoing cost of living crisis continues to hit households hard up and down the country. But many supermarket cafes, restaurants and food venues are offering free or vastly reduced meals for children over the upcoming Easter holidays. The majority of schools in Wales break up for the holidays on Friday, March 31.
Asda has announced that its hugely popular ‘Kids Eat for £1’ café meal deals are to be refreshed with a more nutritionally balanced offer, including new vegan and healthy meal options from Monday, March 20. The deal will also be extended to include the Easter holiday period as it continues to help customers manage the cost-of-living crisis. The supermarket launched the offer for kids under 16 to enjoy a hot meal in any of their 205 cafes in June 2022 and has now served around 1.3 million meals to kids from its cafes nationwide.
