Supermarket giant Asda has been forced to restrict customers from buying more than a certain number of products from its Just Essentials range.
The immense popularity of the products saw Asda run out of stock, prompting the supermarket to introduce a temporary ban. Shoppers are now no longer allowed to buy more than three of the same Just Essentials items - although there is no limit on the overall number of products you can buy.
The supermarket said the ban would be in place until stock levels were replenished but didn't confirm when it would be lifted again, the Mirror reports. An Asda spokesperson said: “We’re working hard to get the out of stock products back on the shelves as quickly as we can.

“To make sure as many customers as possible can buy these products we are temporarily limiting purchases to a maximum of three of each product. This will be for a short period and we will let you know as soon these limits are removed."
The spokesperson added: "We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."
The restrictions, which were first reported by The Sun, come just three months after the Just Essentials range was launched. It replaced the Asda Smart Price collection and includes budget-friendly food essentials such as fresh fruit, sauces, meat, and poultry.
It also includes essential household and toiletry products, such as washing-up liquid, toilet roll, laundry powder, shampoo and conditioner. In July, Asda also launched an online money-saving advice hub to help cash-strapped parents struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
On the new website customers can access a wide range of tips and hacks, which go beyond the weekly food shop, covering how to save energy, budget better, buy and cook smarter, entertain the kids for free and even eat out without paying a penny.
