Asda has extended its ‘Kids Eat for £1’ café meal deals to include the Easter holidays. It has also launched a refreshed kids' menu, bringing in two new hot meals including penne pasta with meatballs and a vegan hidden veg pasta meal.
The deal is available in more than 200 stores. Asda said that since it launched the deal in June 2022 it had served more than 1.4 million meals, with the demand trebling over the school holiday period, serving on average 60,000 meals a week during peak times.
The retailer has also included a free piece of fruit when purchasing the hot kids' £1 meal deal. The supermarket launched the offer for kids under 16 to enjoy a hot meal in any of its 205 cafés last summer.
