When Asda delivery driver Rob Stirk started his shift he spotted a group of women lying on the grass. But when he returned two hours later and found them still there he knew he had to do something.
For with it being one of the hottest days of the year he was immediately concerned for their welfare. And rather than drive past he stopped his van and handed them an ice-cold lifeline.
The 59-year-old made a special delivery by giving the women bottles if ice cold water from the back of his van. It turned out that the group had been on a night out in Liverpool when disaster struck.
