Asda is to freeze the prices of more than 500 products for the next two and a half months.
The supermarket said it was introducing the new policy to give customers “more control” over their spending during the cost of living crisis.
It comes as supermarkets across the UK begin to lower prices on certain items such as milk, butter and pasta as commodity prices begin to fall.
