IDUKKI : If she was taking an evacuation flight to India from the war-hit Ukraine, it would be with her pet dog, decided Arya Aldrin, 20, a second-year MBBS student from Vandiperiyar in Idukki. Though she faced many hurdles in her bid to carry her dog ‘Saira’ along with her, she could finally make it and both of them will arrive in India in two days.
Arya had bought Saira, a Siberian Husk y breed dog, one and a half years ago when she reached Ukraine. The bonding between them was so strong that Arya had arranged a passport and other documents for Saira to facilitate he r travel even before the war was declared.
