Aruna Irani on Lata Mangeshkar's demise: As a fan, we would never want her to leave us

Bollywood and TV's veteran actress Aruna Irani, who has acted in over 500 films so far got teary-eyed when ETimes got in touch with the actress. "Sabko jana hai, per hame dusri Lata Mangeshkar kaha milegi?" expresses as she mourns the demise of Lata Mangeshkar.

Recalling her first song that was sung by the phenomenal singer, Aruna shares, "My first song that was sung by Lata ji was 'Dilbar dil se jane' from the film 'Caravan', which is one of the favourites of most of the people."

"As a fan, we would never want her to leave us but she was struggling with a lot of health issues at this age. Hope she rests in peace. My heartfelt condolences to her family. 'Bhagwan unki atma ko shanti de!'," the actress signs off.

The queen of melody breathed her last today at 8:12 am at breach candy hospital. Her mortal remains will be kept at Shivaji Park, Dadar, and will be cremated with full state honours.
