Legia Warsaw caved in to pressure from supporters as the Polish club slashed ticket prices for Artur Boruc's farewell match against Celtic next week.
There was a furious fans backlash over the cost of briefs for the pre-season friendly and Boruc was forced to beg punters to snap up the tickets after it emerged they had sold only around a tenth of capacity. Legia fans were raging because the prices were set at the same level as last season's Europa League group stage matches.
Now they have reduced them to between £7 to £19 in a bid to get a full house for the swansong of the 42-year-old star as Ange Postecoglou's side continue their Scottish Premiership and Champions League preparations. Legia stated: "We have listened to the voices of the fans and the prices of all tickets have been reduced and anyone who previously purchased tickets will be eligible for a refund of the difference in price. Come and say goodbye to Artur Boruc with us!”
Boruc insisted this week he would love a full house at the Stadion Wojska Polskiego. He said: "I have one final dream left at Legia and that is to have a full stadium. This is more than just a match to me.
"I want to say thanks to the fans. If you are still hesitating and want one more chance of abusing me, then please come along too...you also contributed to my career and made sure I worked even harder. So I cordially invite you to my final game of football."
