A number of art pieces created throughout the past two decades of Alex Face's career are showcased in a four-storey building and a warehouse located at 127 Na Ranong Road, off Rama IV Road, Klong Toey, until Dec 18.
Held to celebrate and look back on his 20-year career as a leading Thai street artist, the "20th Year Alex Face" exhibition brings his key artworks ranging from classics from the early 2000s to iconic recent works.
The show can be viewed as a summary, analysis and review of the artist's career right from the beginning, with new works he created specifically for this occasion.
They include a collection of paintings based on photographs documenting street art works he created in different cities, both in Thailand and abroad; sculptures that shed light on the development of his works over time; and works conceived from collaborations with more than 30 street artists.
Also featured are a variety of souvenirs created by the artist, such as a hand numbered skateboard edition, a new book with sketches compiled from his black notebooks, ceramics in collaboration with Tao Hong Tai ceramics factory, clothing in collaboration with AMP and Rotsaniyom, and limited-edition prints in collaboration with The Archivist studio.
On the ground floor of the exhibition there is a pop up café with snacks and beverages for sale, as well as an area for special activities and programming that are being held throughout the exhibition period. The exhibition is open from 10am to 6pm on Wednesday to Sunday, divided into four rounds -- 10am to noon, noon to 2pm, 2-4pm and 4-6pm. The fee is 350 baht per round and can be purchased from bit.ly/3FuzBFO.
