The owner of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) has reported a 27% increase in gross profit from £8.8m to £11.2m.
The latest results for the Artisanal Spirits Company showed that this resulted from revenue growth and a margin improvement to 61.5%, largely attributable to the long-term suspension of US tariffs on Scotch whisky.
Group revenue rose by 21% for the financial year, from £15m in 2020 to £18.2m in 2021, beating market expectations.
