A new ‘Meet the Maker’ Market is to launch at M&Ds Scotland’s Theme Park offering an emporium of fine foods and hand-crafted gifts.
Organised by Continental Marketplace, the market will launch on Saturday, April 9 and thereafter will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
Located at the entrance to M&Ds, within Strathclyde Park in Motherwell, the market will feature a variety of Scottish vendors, who both make and sell their own products, selling from artisan wooden chalets.
Products will include speciality cookies, small batch roasted coffee, bespoke candles and room scents and environmentally friendly cleaning products, and much more.
Marc Taylor, of Continental Marketplace, told Lanarkshire Live : “The sentiment to support local businesses is here to stay and many people have stepped back from the larger supermarkets and stores opting to buy products that are unique and at the same time support independent traders.
“We have many visitors to the Theme Park at the weekend and it’s a great opportunity to support independent makers.”
Independent retailers looking to get involved can register their interest to find out more information online.
