An arsonist launched a lit firework through his neighbour's letterbox after falsely accusing her of being a thief.
John Tomlinson spat at his victim and threatened to burn down her home only hours before the "terrifying" incident. She was left "scared and crying" following his potentially deadly "revenge attack".
Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday afternoon, Thursday, that the defendant and Lorraine Doyle lived in opposite blocks of flats on Moss Gate Road in Dovecot. Miles Wilson, prosecuting, described how Tomlinson saw her in the street at around midday on June 29 last year and accused her of stealing his mobile phone.
