NEW DELHI: Arshad Nadeem, the Olympic javelin throw gold medalist, received a substantial reward from the Punjab government on Tuesday for his remarkable achievement at the recently concluded Paris Games. The government presented him with a cash prize of 10 million rupees and a new car in recognition of his historic performance.
Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, personally visited Nadeem's village in Mian Chunnu to meet with him and his family. During the visit, she handed over the cash prize and the keys to the new car, acknowledging Nadeem's outstanding accomplishment on behalf of the government, reported PTI.
