Arsenal youngster Omari Hutchinson has been called up to the Jamaica squad for their upcoming friendly with Catalonia. The 18-year-old has been named in a 20-man squad, although as it's not a full-international, he isn't committing to playing for Jamaica just yet.
Hutchinson, who is considered to be one of the top prospects at the club, has been named in several of Mikel Arteta's Premier League squads this season. He's expected to go out on loan next campaign to gain further experience, as football.london understands, with Reading confident of securing a move for the midfielder.
Speaking about the development of young players at the club earlier this month, Arteta said: “It is part of the project and it is part of our DNA. But we have to give them when they are ready. We will decide, depending on the game, whether or not they are ready to take that next step. When I see them closer I will tell you if they are ready!”

18-year-old's aren't often called up to a full international squad, but Jamaica are already planning for the World Cup after Qatar, and they want Hutchinson to be part of the new group. Nevertheless, as per Goal journalist Charles Watts, the youngster isn't set on making any big decisions just yet, although he's excited to find out what it's like to be part of the Jamaican squad.
Watts said on Twitter: "Omari Hutchinson called up by Jamaica. It’s not a full international, so he won’t be committing to anything long-term. Jamaica rebuilding and already planning for next World Cup and they want Hutchinson as part of that new group. He’s excited to go and have a look."
It'll be interesting to see what Hutchinson decides long-term, but Arsenal fans will be focused on his domestic development first and foremost. Luckily, at the moment, that's going very well.
