Arsenal XI vs Chelsea: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League game

William Saliba is out of Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea on Tuesday.

The centre-back has been absent with a back injury since the middle of March and is still yet to return to training.

Saliba will, as a result, miss the game against Chelsea at Emirates Stadium in the Premier League and faces a race to be fit for the final four games of the season.

Asked on Monday about Saliba’s condition, Arteta said: “Pretty similar. He is not going to be involved tomorrow.

“We will have to wait until the next game to see where we are, but he hasn’t improved this week at all.”

After four games without a win, Arteta could make changes for the clash with Chelsea. Jorginho is pushing to come into the midfield and he could get a rare start against his old club.

Leandro Trossard impressed off the bench in the defeat at Manchester City last week and could come in for Gabriel Martinelli.

Predicted Arsenal XI: Ramsdale; White, Holding, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Jorginho, Xhaka; Saka, Jesus, Trossard.

Tuesday 8.00pm GMT, Sky Sports

Venue: Emirates Stadium

Referee: Robert Jones

Arsenal squad from: Hein, Ramsdale, Turner; Gabriel, Holding, Kiwior, Tierney, White, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Partey, Saka, Smith Rowe, Trossard, Vieira, Xhaka; Jesus, Martinelli, Nelson and Nketiah.

Injured: Elneny (knee), Saliba (back), Tomiyasu (knee)
