Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman’s father takes aim at his son’s former coach

  • Williams, a former Arsenal under-12s assistant coach, made the claims during an interview with talkSPORT, suggesting he played a role in the 16-year-old's rise.
  • Max Dowman became the Premier League's youngest goalscorer after scoring in Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday.
  • Robert Dowman stated on social media that Williams' comments were “verging on fraud” and an attempt to “increase his profile under false pretences”.
  • Williams has since apologised to the Dowman family and confirmed he will no longer speak publicly about Max Dowman's development.
