April has not been a good month for Arsenal and their hopes of sealing a return to the Champions League for next season could be hit even further heading into May.
It all began with a disappointing 3-0 loss at the hands of Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace side and to make things even worse, the Gunners lost Kieran Tierney as well as Thomas Partey to injury before and during the game respectively. Of the pair, the latter has a chance to play again this season, but Mikel Arteta is not too confident about those chances.
Then it was on to a 2-1 loss at home to Brighton and Hove Albion and despite dominating large spells against Southampton last time out, Arsenal managed to leave St Mary's empty-handed and those three successive defeats have allowed Tottenham Hotspur to take control of the top-four race.
