Arsenal lost 3-1 to Real Betis in their latest pre-season friendly with a sloppy performance as they continue preparations for a Premier League title defence on a day where they moved much closer to sealing the signing of Bruno Guimaraes.

The Gunners were at fault for two of their Spanish opponents’s three goals at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin with some dismal defending, while Piero Hincapie’s unmarked header from a corner provided their goal.
