Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka is suspended for Thursday's second leg following his red card in the first match between the two sides last week.
Arsenal had to postpone their derby clash with Tottenham on Sunday due to a number of players being deemed unavailable, while Mikel Arteta has kept tight-lipped over who will be missing.
However, Thomas Partey, Mohamed Elneny, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will all be unavailable.
For the visitors, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out due to an ankle injured he suffered in the Reds' win over Brentford on the weekend.
Divock Origi and Thiago Alcantara will also miss the clash as they remained sidelined until next month.
Harvey Elliott is also missing, despite the youngster returning to first-team training.
