Arsenal U21 player ratings vs Crystal Palace as Marquinhos struggles in hard-fought draw

Hubert Graczyk: Crucial saves in the first half kept his side in the game. He definitely played his part in earning a hard-fought point for the Gunners. 7

Reuell Walters: Walters struggled in the first half as he constantly engaged in battles with his opponent on the right-hand side. His showing in the second-half was much improved, as he imposed himself physically on the match. 5

Zach Awe: An impressive performance from the centre-back who was dominant at the heart of the defence. He won every aerial ball that came his way, and also showed confidence on the ball to build up attacks. 7

Taylor Foran: Foran was also defensively solid this evening. He wasn't heavily challenged by a physical battle but he never lost concentration and also played some impressive diagonal passes. 7

Elian Quesda-Thorn: The young left-back showed good touches when on the ball and linked up with Cozier-Duberry well on the left-hand side. However, Crystal palace's Ebiowei did get the best of him in certain situations, as the Eagles' main threat got on the scoresheet. 6

Matt Smith: Smith played in the No. 6 role similar to how Partey plays under Arteta. He was solid from a defensive point of view and had a decent performance overall. He could have offered more when Arsenal were on the attack in the first half, but this side of his game improved in the second. 7

Jack Henry-Francis: Henry-Francis was a threat in the midfield for the Gunners and got in good positions to create chances for his teammates. He rarely gave the ball away and linked up well on the left-hand side. 6

Mauro Badeira: Badeira kept the Gunners in the game with his excellent first-half goal, when it looked like Crystal Palace were going to score a second. He had a quiet performance aside from the goal, but certainly did his job in the middle of the park. 8

Amario Cozier-Durberry: The speedy winger was a major threat in the first half as he put in dangerous crosses for his teammates and forced the opposition goalkeeper to make a few saves. He was Arsenal's best player in the attack tonight. 8

Marquinhos: Marquinhos had a relatively quiet performance and would have been disappointed not to have given the Gunners the lead as his last-gasp slip prevented him from scoring a tap-in. 5

Nathan Bulter-Oyedeji: The striker's supply was limited in the first half of the match, but when he did receive the ball, he was a threat. He also showed good link-up play with his teammates. 6

Substitutions -

Charles Sagoe Jr - Was certainly a threat down the right-hand side when coming on. Forced saves out of the goalkeeper and would've been disappointed not to get on the scoresheet. 7

Khayon Edwards - Edwards had little time to make an impact after being subbed on in the 85th minute. 5
