Arsenal trophy parade details revealed ahead of Champions League showdown and Premier League finale

The Gunners are on the cusp of making history with a famous double-winning campaign well within their reach after significant developments this week.

On Monday night, Manchester City's hiccup away to Everton put Arsenal firmly back in the driving seat to clinch a first Premier League title since 2004.

Then, 24 hours later, Mikel Arteta's side booked their place in the Champions League Final with a two-legged victory over Atletico Madrid.

Following reports from the Daily Mail, Arsenal have provisionally scheduled a trophy parade event for Sunday, May 31, one day after the Champions League Final in Budapest.

The timing presents a significant logistical headache for the Arsenal faithful, many of whom will travel to Hungary for the Champions League's showpiece finale.

With the final taking place at Budapest's Puskas Arena on the evening of Saturday, May 30, thousands of supporters face a frantic race back to the streets of Islington to catch the trophy procession, which will begin 'earlier in the day, rather than the evening'.

The trophy dream shifted from a possibility to a probability on Monday night following Man City's 3-3 draw on Merseyside.

Pep Guardiola’s side were almost beaten by a resilient Everton, leaving Arsenal five points clear at the summit.

While City still have games in hand, the psychological blow to the defending champions has left the Gunners only needing to match Man City's results in their final three fixtures to secure a first league title in over two decades.

Arsenal’s remaining Premier League schedule is among the more straightforward of title wannabes in years gone by, too.

They take on relegation-threatened West Ham United, as well as an already-doomed Burnley before facing Crystal Palace on the final day.

Should the Gunners navigate the final weeks of the domestic season and overcome Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in Budapest, the May 31 parade will likely be the largest gathering in the club's history.

For fans currently scrambling for cross-continental flights and Eurotunnel slots, they may consider the potential to witness the club’s first-ever European Cup alongside the Premier League trophy to far outweigh any travel exhaustion.
