Arsenal proved they can cope without Gabriel Jesus after Eddie Nketiah helped fire them to a 3-1 victory over West Ham on Boxing Day.
But the Gunners are still seeking attacking reinforcements nonetheless and have just had their opening bid for Mykhaylo Mudryk rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk. However, Mikel Arteta has reportedly found an alternative to Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix, while it has also been revealed that Arsenal are yet to make any offers for one of their top midfield targets.
Mirror Football takes a look at all the latest transfer stories coming out of the Emirates Stadium…
Arsenal stalling on Milinkovic-Savic
Arsenal are said to be ‘in pole position’ to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic but are yet to make a single offer for the Serbian international.
The Gunners are aiming to bolster their midfield options ahead of the remainder of the campaign as they target an unexpected Premier League title - and long-term target Milkovic-Savic could finally be set to join the club according to the latest reports.
However, although Arsenal are thought to be leading the race for his signature, Corriere dello Sport also claim that ‘there are no offers’ to Lazio or the player’s agent, Mateja Kezman, as things stand.

Arteta targets Felix alternative
Arsenal are reportedly in the mix for Atletico Madrid striker Felix but that could soon be brought to an end if the latest reports are to be believed.
The Gunners are hopeful of finding a replacement for the injured Jesus and a loan deal until the end of the season for Felix has been mooted on more than one occasion. However, it has also been revealed that Arteta now has his sights set on another La Liga striker.
That’s according to El Confidencial, who say the Spaniard has ‘doubts’ over the Portuguese forward. However, it has not been confirmed who the other target is, although the Gunners have already been linked to Barcelona ’s Ferran Torres.
Man City target Ben White
Arsenal defender Ben White has been in fine form this season but the Gunners could now be at risk of losing him to Manchester City next year.
The former Brighton man has been converted into a right back in the current campaign and has played a huge role in Arsenal’s unexpected title surge this season. However, as a result of his impressive form, Arteta now faces losing him to his former employers.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who claim that Man City want to strengthen their defence in 2023 and have identified the England international as one of their targets after his form piqued the interest of Pep Guardiola.
