Here is your Arsenal transfer roundup on Monday, January 2.
Guardiola attempts transfer steal
According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Manchester City are considering offering Jack Grealish to AC Milan in a swap deal with Leao, despite Grealish making the £100million switch to City less than two years ago. The report goes on to say that it is unclear if Milan would be open to the swap as they have concerns over Grealish’s age and £300,000-a-week salary.

These reports come after Leao said: “Experience in a new league? Yes, in the future… but now I’m 100% focused on AC Milan — it’s a top club and I’m under contract there. I like the city too.
"I watch many games. This year, I like Arsenal — they’re playing very well," he said speaking to Speaking to RDPAfrica via Fabrizio Romano.
Improved Mudryk offer
According to French news outlet Foot Mercato, Arsenal have submitted an improved offer for Mykhaylo Mudryk. The clubs are now in discussions regarding this offer and a deal is expected to happen. A contract with the player has already been agreed.
Arsenal have had an excellent start to the season as Mikel Arteta’s side currently top the Premier League table. The Gunners have only suffered one defeat in 16 matches this season. However, questions have arose on whether Arsenal can maintain their form for the remainder of the campaign.
The Gunners were unable to sign a winger in the summer transfer window, despite the clear need to strengthen in the wide areas. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have a lot of pressure to perform until the next opportunity to address this area of the pitch opens, but there is a risk of burnout.
Kessie blow
According to Spanish news outlet Onda Cero, Tottenham had made an offer of £13million for Kessie. Arsenal have previously been linked with the midfielder in the past.
However, Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb have claimed that Kessie has refused to leave Barcelona despite the Catalan side being open to selling the midfielder. Kessie joined the club in the summer on a free transfer after his contract expired at AC Milan.
Before he joined Barcelona, The Mirror claimed that Arsenal, along with Manchester United and Spurs, were interested in securing the Ivorian's services. Kessie is still only 24 years old but has the necessary Champions League experience and has been a Serie A regular for over five seasons.
